What the Funk, Denver, October 2014. Bottle. Pours a bit hazy, orange appearance with a cream colored head. Woody and tannic flavor with some note of spirits. Kind of funky. Some citrus and stone fruit notes. Light vanilla. Pretty sour.

What the Funk, Denver, October 2014. Bottle. Pours a light yellow appearance with a white head. Quite effervescent. Grassy, tart, and dry flavor with some lemon, herbs, and light funk. Fine beer but didn’t blow me away. (3.6)
Update from a bottle with a little more age. This has more funk, pineapple/tropical fruit, and some mild tartness. Spritzy. Fine (3.9)

Bottle. Hazy golden amber color, medium white head. Nice aroma of burnt biscuits, burning haystacks. Taste has light fruit, straw, honey, dust. Very tasty, and different than your average fall beer.

On tap at Beer Temple. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of lemon, lemongrass, something spicy but refreshing, yeast, light malty, light tartness. Flavour is dry but juicy, citrus, lemongrass, something mint-like, yeasty, nice hoppy grape and grapefruit finish. Light bodied. Tasty.

Keg at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 25/09/14. Lightly hazed pale golden with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is citric sherbets, red grapefruit, light spice, tropical fruit aromas. Taste comprises mellow citric rinds, apricot, lemon zest, straw, faint tangerines. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok tropical fruit driven saison.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours very hazy yellow with an off white head. Aroma of peppery saison yeast, citrus, floral notes and dough. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

At Eurhop festival in Rome-Italy. Little quantity from a bottle shared among the customers. Courtesy of the brewer himself. Pours yellow cloudy with a great white foam.
