On tap at Cigar City Cider & Mead, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma is full of intense berries, subdued honey, and no notice of the barrel. Flavour is full of rich dark berries, with treacly honey and dark sugars. Intensely rich, with lots of berries and deep honey. Nothing subtle here. Aggressive and over the top but done so nicely.

Appearance: Dark purple with no head.
Aroma: Honey, berries, strawberries, bourbon, dried fruit.
Body: Full body, flat carbonation.

On tap at Cigar City Cider and Mead. Pours very deep red. Cherry, blueberry, blackcurrant, vanilla, juniper, hefty currant, redcurrant, floral, bell pepper, butter, hefty berry. Oily body. Gun barrel brings some weird notes, still good.

On tap at Cigar City Cigar and Mead. Pours very dark red. Peanut flour, grape, cherry liqueur, peanut butter cookies, raspberry, sweet Concord grape. Nice full oily body. Excellent.

375ml (thx, Brian(!), for the bottle and putting me into the TOP of raters of the meadery, hehe) @ Sales Force. Appearance: Aroma: boozy, lots of fruit, tannic, woody, honey. Taste: along the same lines, VERY BOOZY and fruity. Overall: good one.

Purple-brown colour. It's got a red wine character, nice tannins, with a soft honey note. This has a good sweetness with rich red wine depth. Lots of sugar to the finish, clover honey sort of thing. I like the richness.
