Purple-brown colour. It's got a red wine character, nice tannins, with a soft honey note. This has a good sweetness with rich red wine depth. Lots of sugar to the finish, clover honey sort of thing. I like the richness.

375mL bottle. Pours very dark red. Aroma has red wine and honey. Flavour has excellent red wine character, sweet honey. The dry red wine and sweet honey balance each other out perfectly. Very well done.

375mL bottle, pours deep dark mahogany, no head. Aroma is complex as hell, with intense red wine barrels, maybe some whiskey, and complex honey. Flavour is extremely deep and intense, with absurd amounts of honey, red wine barrel complexity, and some booze. Damn, the honey and red wine are absolutely wonderfully integrated. Lovely.

2oz taster. Served by Chad, the owner. Appearance: very dark purple with a purple head. Aroma: blackberries, some booze and oak. Taste: a lot of berries, VERY intense, a lot of tannins, quite astringent, too. Overall: complex and nice.

2oz taster. Served by Tom. Appearance: clear pale golden. Aroma: still loads of ginger, less than in non-BA, though, but it's more towards the soap, though. Less honey and sweetness, too. Taste: ginger mellowed out and got smoothened, but it still has the spicy notes coming out of it. Overall: interesting (especially side by side with non-BA one that has the same age) and unique.
