Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dried dark fruit, caramel malt, raisins, sturdy rye, dark bread, and berries. Flavour is medium sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Body is medium. A robustly malty Doppelbock, pretty good.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is formidable rum, lots of raisins, sweet dark malt, caramel, oak, alcohol, and notes of cane sugar. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter. Body is a little above medium. Fairly boozy and heavy on the rum, could be a lot more balanced.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, fudge, soft peat, wood, rum, caramel, raisins, notes of vanilla and coffee, a touch of whisky, some liquorice and alcohol. Flavour is quite sweet with some bitterness in the finish. A little boozy. Body is full. Nice barrel aging, though I prefer the original.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, hoppy notes, ripe dark fruits, prunes, liquorice, spicy notes, and some candy sugar. Flavour is sweet and moderate to medium bitter with a bittersweet finish. Body is above medium. Curious but successful concoction, pretty tasty.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Black, minimal head. Peppery, chocolatey bourbon aroma. Massive bodied with dense, rounded mouthfeel. Treacly sweetness countered by fierce brandyish alcohol. Caramel and madeiry. Oaky, fiercelelh warming bourbon finish with good bitterness.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Mild tart red fruits with hibiscus, notes of red berries, some green chili. Tart and mild sour with a light body. Pleasant enough, not a lot of chili bite.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is cocoa, roasted malt, dark chocolate, bit fruity including darkish fruits, coffee, mocha, alcohol. Flavour is sweet with a fairly bitter roasty finish. Full body with warming booze. Big bittersweet and boozy unit, robust flavours, bit abrasive almost. Very good overall.

Bottle. Lightly hazy dark amber with a small dense off-white head. Lacing. Alcohol, dark sugar, toffee, caramel, some vegetal notes and a vegetal hint in the aroma. Full-bodied, warming, nicely carbonated. Sweet flavor with caramel, bread, bitterness, pine cones, resin and pale malts. 250131
