Super duper hazy amber and copper coloured body with a large tan head that covers a lot of this one. Aroma of grass, honey, light hops, citrus and a bit of floral and piney hop notes as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal notes that show more of a Light iPA instead of a Saison, but some yeast and more floral elements show some funkiness along with a hint of the yeast. Aftertaste shows some grain and a little residual sweetness from some caster sugar and even a hint of fruit. Overall, not a great saison, but not a horrible beer - tons of flavour, especially with the floral and grassy notes and a lingering sweetness that shows nicely. I sampled this tall, 500 mL bottle purchased a few minutes earlier at Les Marche des Sauveurs du Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 18-September-2016 for CA$5,50 sampled right outside the store at a picnic table on 18-September-2016 in Montreal.

Crystal clear golden and peach coloured body with a rich, super nice microfoamed off-white head that leaves a very intricate lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of yeast, light fruit, peaches, apricots, a touch of hops, and a pungent perfume element. Medium-bodied; Nice creamy mouthful that shows some excellent light hop flavours, some bread and biscuity malt notes and a very refined, yet elegant sweetness from fruit, a touch of icing sugar and some light honey. Aftertaste is well-structured with some light yeast notes, some grain and malt product and a smooth yet defined alcohol presence near the back end. Overall, a fairly good beer that shows a lot of well-defined elements, very smooth complexities and a good depth throughout, but this is definitely not an IPA in any sense of the phrase - more of a Belgian Ale or a Belgian Tripel with this yeast strain and nothing else. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Marche des Sauveurs du Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 14-February-2016 for CA$6,75 sampled at home in Washington after booking a flight a few minutes ago from Canada in just a few days.

Tasting at Ferris’
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is fresh, a bit fruity, a bit funky, coriander. Nice lactic acidity, very salty, a bit too yeasty, a bit orangey, I don’t get much smoke.
Pleasant.

A murky brown mess, like a chocolate mousse. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light orange pulp, light metallic notes, strange. In mouth, a sweet tart malt with loads of raw green hops, metallic notes, band aid, just bad. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau hiver 2016.

Pours a hazed golden colour with slight amber. The head is foamy, lasts long and delivers lots of lacing. Not sure if this one too old, or infected, but some mild sourness appears in the nose. The rest seems like the hops overpower the wheat, so not feeling the banana notes. Maybe a little in the taste, but not really well-balanced all-around. Love the dark label, good appearance but not much else here.

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy hay color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic malt with light spicy yeast notes is pretty enjoyable. Taste is a nice mix of rustic malt with some spicy yeast notes with a dry finish is quite nice. Body is about average with good carbonation. Doesn’t really stand out from the style staples but still well-balanced overall with good drinkability.

Bottle: Poured a light pale yellow color Gose with a large white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of lightly citric notes with some tart notes also noticeable. Taste is a nice mix of tart notes with light citric notes and a light lemony finish with hints of smoke. Acidity is very low. Body is about average from style with good carbonation. Enjoyable and easily drinkable with some complexity.
