Cask at Liverpool Beer Fest 2019. Orangey golden colour, white foam head and mellow fruity hop aroma. Taste is pale malt, grains with astringent, tangy, citrusy, grapefruit, hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, the astringency lingers at the finish. OK, spoiled abit by the astringent note.

Keg at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. It pours dark mahogany brown wjrg a small beige head. The aroma is warming spice, tangy dark fruit, orange peel, cinnamon, Jamaican ginger bread, oak, raisin, sultana and fruit cake. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, plenty of spice, dried leaves, oak, warming alcohol, leather, orange peel, pithy, earth with a spiced finish. Mediun+ body and fine, prickly carbonation. A proper autumnal ale.

Bottle from Homebrew Bottle Shop, Oxton in Birkenhead. Appearance - deep brown to black with lighter brown chinks. Big fluffy fawn head. Nose - molasses, hazelnuts. General praline thing. Taste - nuts, marzipan. Cherry. Burnt toffee or molasses. Nougat. Palate - rich and close to full bodied. Sweet and creamy but not too sweet. Overall - really lovely and interesting beer.

Cask @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Clear reddish-brown with a thin bubbly head. Very strong tasting with a gritty and sweetened darker malt evident.
