Draught @ Zeezicht, Breda. Nice dark red to red-brown color with a full sized beige head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is malts, quite some red fruit influence. Taste malts, sweetish, dark forest fruit, blueberry sweet mixed with dark malts. Medium body, quite soft carbonation. Hmm weird combo.

Tasting at SF’s
Brown color. Nice aroma of malts and little smoke. The body is a bit thin, the alcohol is evident, the caramel body is nice, with elegant fruity notes, light sweetness.
Balanced, very good.

Bottle - Light soured dark malts, toffee and creamy butterscotch. Dark caramel and cloudy with a small beige head. Much like it small.

650ml bottle at Brian’s office. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is some bourbon, fruits, bready. Taste is very sweet, fruity, with some bready notes. Good.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a nice complex mix of bourbon and smoke, with some caramel malts and wood. Flavour is a bit different, with lots of red fruits, light bourbon, a tiny hint of smoke, and light toffee. Quite sweet, with a lighty smoky and barrel-heavy character. Very good.

Dark brown. Thin head. This has a rich toffeeish dark malt aroma with a fair bit of bourbon coming through as well. The body is a bit thin, with higher than normal carbo for the style, but the malt character is still pretty good despite this. I want more sugars, but there’s pretty good toffeeish, date character, with a fair bit of vanilla/bourbon notes as well. Not much besides that, save for a dash of alcohol in the finish, but overall it’s a pretty good beer.
