22 oz bottle purchased at Garys Beverage in Portsmouth, NH. Used a shaker glass. Opaque black, HUGE frothy beige head. Lots of lace down the shaker. Mild carbonation. Taste is ridiculous amounts of roast and some bitter dark chocolate. Packed with malt, that’s okay to me in this case. Pretty bitter but only a mild citrus and pine hop flavor. Small grapefruit notes hiding in the background. Almost a nutty note in the finish as well. Well balanced. Medium-full bodied. Feels very smooth and even a bit creamy. The roasted and bitter flavors create a nice dry feeling in the finish. Very drinkable.

Bomber from Half Time. Pours black with a creamy 2-finger tan head. Aroma has lots of fruit - including citrus - with some fairly chocolate malt in the background. Med body. Flavor is pretty citrus, and there’s enough hop that the malt doesn’t come through very strongly. Some chocolate seems to pop up in the finish, but this is hoppy and bitter stuff. Might even be a hint of anise. Or not.

Courtesy of my buddy Gillard. Pours deep mahogany with nice looking mocha head. The aroma has some citrus hoppiness all over the place with dark roasted malts, chocolate malts and spicy black licorice in the background. The taste is similar with a nice load of grapefruit hop flavor flowing quickly into bitter hops and then some chocolate and a thin layer of spicy black strap molasses. Yummy combination where there are murmurings of sweetness below the dark roasted malts and bitter hops are what seems to pull this together.
