Hazy brown pour, small off white head. Aroma is quite woody, and and has a solid tangy tartness. Reminds me alot of a Flemish red, with some big barrel aging. Lots of wood, hints of vanilla and a strong scotch flavour at the end. Barrel isn’t in your face at the beginning, but I wasn’t expecting this tartness. The barrel really comes through in the finish and goes well with the fruity malts. Nice stuff.

Quite the pour, viscous and jet black with a very dark brown head. Intense Aroma if charred malts, charred coffee, loads of smoke and soy with some strong pine resin and hints if over ripe fruit. Viscous, oily mouth feel with a soft, yet bubbly carb. Intense bitter finish, strong, astringent resinous hope flavour, and a long lasting, strong coffee, charred malt. Quite the big beer alcohol is hidden well, a real sipper.

Not sure of the vintage but this seems like the correct entry/ABV. Moderate sweetness, sun-baked pale malts, oily pine, orange peel, a little spicy cedar, pepper. Great stuff, nice old-school vibes.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate, mild chili, cocoa, dark fruits, prunes, plenty of liquorice in the finish, touch of roasty coffee and soy sauce. Flavour is medium sweet and light to moderate bitter with some chili burn in the throat. Flavour is medium to full. A bit heavier on the liquorice than I’d expected. Not top tier Imperial Stout but good, nice vanilla chocolate and subtle chili notes.
