From the P&M Getränk at Troisdorf. Opening it at Breukelen after a long trip from Germany, so hot and a welcome pils on the czech and pilsener urquell way, not so bitter than the urquell, I could say lighter but it was malty and bready, average, 21.08.22

Tap at the Beergeek Bar. Hazy yellow-golden body, thick off-white head. Coffee, nutty really, with low pepper presence... oof, it already started going down. Coffee, nicely nutty again, toasty, but bringing some pepper notes dominates the lean, dry taste, bit citric, bitterish. Not sure the coffee is working the intended way entirely, but it does kinda work, even if it's a little astringent.

A moderate haze on this dark amber brown beer, small and short lived bubbly tan head. Airy smooth palate, a slight viscosity, reasonable fine carbonation, fine for this heavy barleywine. Good rich Cognac soaked fruits, ripe and a little juicy. Some alcohol spice and, a little oak induced vanilla. Finishes smooth and mildly boozy. God barleywine, think this would age well for at least a decade and, probably twice that.

Ok+

Pours with a golden color. Plenty of foam. Aroma of tarry oak barrels and hops. The taste is oaky and woody with a growing hop bitterness. I'm not entirely positive about the oakiness but overall it's a good Czech pilsner. I like the bitterness.
