Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Light to medium sweet with notes of coffee, leaves, semi-ripe citrus fruits, toasted malts, subtle vanilla. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine to average carbonation. Just a touch sticky in the finish, more coffee notes, some earthy-leafy bitterness, toasted malts. Interesting. Not bad.

Can from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Hazed golden with a thick bubbly head as quite active out of its container. Once settled it has a dryish citrus taste, fairly inactive in the latter with only a light citric bitterness.

Can from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Golden in colour, head disappears. Has a gentle maltiness, some caramel sweetness, lower end bitterness - all quite nice at an easy strength.

Can from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Hazy golden with a head, at 3.2% with Rakau and Southern Cross hops, which does make it a hoppy enough beer but there's a good fruitiness found here too, citrus including light inoffensive grapefruit notes - evident in both aroma and taste. Low alcohol level is noticeable but it's decent enough.

Taste comprises milk chocolate, toffee, mellow roast, hint of orange peel, brown sugar sprinkle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout ... has a nice chocolate profile in the flavour.

31/1/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours black with a short lasting frothy beige head. Aroma of cocoa, milk chocolate orange, roasted malt, touch of coffee and Cointreau. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Chocolate orange develops nicely, improved the finish.

Can from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Mildly hazy golden with a small head. It tastes very similar to the protected Cologne brew, and just as unexciting. A little more ale-like in aroma with a hint of fruit.
