Can from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Brown coloured with a thick off-white bubbly head due to a lot of activity out of its container. It's aroma and taste are not compromised though with a deep graininess to proceedings as you might expect, with a mix of roasted, chocolate and brown style malts giving it a grittiness, but getting more stout-like and toasted in its aftertaste. Crisp tasting despite its depth and strength.

Black beer, head is initially really thick but soon thins out. Smells of bittersweet orange and chocolate. I like the balance of the flavour. The orange is, again, slightly bitter on too of rich malt and some dark chocolate so it isn't sickly bit still has the flavours you expect from the description. Nice body to it too, with the orange flavour lingering.

Crowler from BD. It pours hazy dirty blonde with a frothy white cap. The aroma is sweet, sticky, fruity candy, gummy bears, lychee, lemon - lime, pine and bready malt backbone. The taste is initially dry, then bitter - sweet, sticky, sugary almost, candy, gummy bears, lychee, greenness, grain, spice, pithy citrus and candied lime with a short, sweet finish. Average body and fine carbonation. A bit sweet for my liking and lacks some definition. Fair.
