Kind of a buttered banana blueberry beer, so points for alliteration, at least. But not my favorite, a tad sweet and laced with diacetyl, estery on the back end with a slight trace of blueberries. Nose is golden ale blandness, but the pour’s good, gold with a slight purplish tint, loads of head and lace. Sparkly texture works for the style as well, but overall not for me.

Tap @ Char, Cookeville, Tennessee. Cloudy amber-brown with a thin head. It’s mild for a mild! Has a hint of roasted malt and a gentle sweetness, which is just about the dominant of the two.

Growler. Cloudy brown with an off-white head. Light caramel aroma. Some nutty banana as well. The flavor is lightly sweet, no real hop bitterness here.

Not digging whatever Calfkiller’s attempting with this pale ale. Grainy and somewhat wort-ish, with lots of red apple esters and a moderate diacetyl undertone. Caramel and earthy undertones on the back end. Hops add bitterness but little else. Not for me.

Okay, but a bit sweet for a golden ale, heavy with the honey and leaning into hefe territory because of it. Slight apple esters add some depth, but the sweetness grows cloy as it warms, leading to a somewhat saccharine, bitter fade. Great name, mediocre beer.

Decent nose, caramel with a slight yeasty apple back. Pour’s okay, a copper-gold with a slight head and light lacing. Taste never quite takes off, though, with hints of caramel and biscuit, yet with homebrew-ish pungent malt undercurrent, one that kinda keeps the pint from being enjoyable. Finishes mildly sweet, caramel and wet grain on the fade. Not good.
