Aroma: This nose is pretty simple, but solid, made up of grainy malts and grassy hops
Appearance: The pour is a clear gold color, with a lasting white head and sticky lace
Flavor: It has a clean and lightly sweet taste, it is lightly bitter as well
Palate: It has a light-medium body, and a clean and easy drinking mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This was a quite tasty, light, and easy drinking Kolsch. In this style it is pretty much right on for what I’m looking for.

On tap at BTBF. Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are grassy, grapefruit, spicy hop character, mildly dank. Medium malty notes (toast and a bit of caramel). Flavors are of grapefruit, citrusy, and floral hop notes. A bit of grassy dry hop resin. Medium bitter, pretty dry. Lively carbonation. Pretty good stuff from a German Style brewery.

Found rating from notes from Dallas. I stayed at the Gaylord Texan, where they had two Franconia beers on tap. \"Texan Blonde\" was one, and an email query to the brewer confirmed that this was the same as \"Franconia Blonde\" which is probably the same as this... It’s a roundabout way of saying that I hope this rating is somewhere near the right place in the database. Anyhow, here’s the notes:
Pours a light gold with a massive head and aromas of... well... nothing. Flavor is sweet and very light. This is a boring beer.

On tap at sports bar in the Gaylord Texan. It’s called Franconia Big Red here, but an email to Franconia confirmed this is an alias. The beer arrives in a frosted mug with so much ice on the sides that I have to wait to find out that this beer has a nice reddish hue. I can tell right away that the head is a little undersized, but it’s ok. Aromas are sugary, nutty and slightly earthy and (oddly enough) become more pronounced as the beer warms. Flavor is nice, but it’s more like a red ale than what I would consider an amber... Still, it has a nice toffee sweetness that balances against a little hop bitterness and the earthy/nutty notes I picked up on in the nose. Decently drinkable.

Cask at BTBF. Pours with a small, white head over a hazy golden orange hued body. Aromas are bready, sweet, biscuity, malty, some oak/vanillin, very light fruit character. Floral and grassy. Flavors are bready, biscuity, toasty. Light fruitiness, light oak, grassy, dry. Very low tannin. Fresh, malty and fun.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for this one. Pours orange tinged gold with a transient off-white head. Aroma is bready with supporting noble hop. Med + body. It starts a little sweet/bready, and then suddenly it clarifies in a refreshing manner. Finishes justthe slightest bit sweet, but hop is present. Pretty tasty stuff.

On tap at the Arlington Fuzzy’s location. Frozen (with what could possibly be liquid nitrogen) goblet. Golden in color. Hard to tell the clarity as it is laden with ice crystals. Ice floating around with the white head that stays a while. Are you kidding me? This is ridiculously cold! Wonder if Dennis has seen how cold they are serving it... Aroma is really too cold to smell. Hints of grain, sweet malts, some berry. Taste is grain, sweet, bready, caramel, and grassy. Less fruit notes the Lucky Number 7. High carbonation that is somewhat hidden when frozen. Icy mouthfeel. WHY SO COLD?!

On tap. Pours with a clear, slightly burnt golden body with a long lasting white head. Aroma is bready and bright with light hops and raw grains. Taste is crisp and bready, light hops. Delicate and decently nice. Crisp and dry mouthfeel.
