12 oz. bottle purchased at Total Wine in Denton, TX. Pours a dark root beer color with a small beige head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt flavor to match the nose, with just a hint of smoke. Clean, sweet and rich. Low carbonation. No bitterness. Super easy drinking. Delicious.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Total Wine in Denton, TX. Pours a clear amber color with a tiny beige head and poor retention. No lacing. Aroma of honey and malt. The taste matches the nose. Sticky sweet honey and caramel flavors, like a sweeter red ale. Clean, heavy body. The 7.8% ABV is well hidden, but warming. No bitterness.

Amber color. Good balance of caramel sweet malt and earthy or floral hops. Little crisp finish, not overly heavy. Good example of a bock.

12 oz. bottle purchased in San Antonio, TX. Pours a clear reddish copper color with a small off-white head and poor retention. No lacing. Indistinct aroma. Flat mouthfeel. Flavor of burnt caramel syrup and not much else. The low carbonation leaves a lifeless finish. Tastes good, but it could be a lot better.
