8 August 2018. At Bluesun Hotel Kaj, Marija Bistrica. Cheers to Anke!
Pours hazy dark brown to black with a lasting, thin, tan head; some sediment. Aroma of mocha, toast, roasted malt, cigar ash, pipe tobacco, black pepper. It tastes light malty sweet, hints of bread, toast, faintly nutty, and light to medium roasted bitter, ash & black coffee notes. Dryish, toasty finish, faintly peppery (hoppy), yet rather short. Light to medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Acceptable.

Bottle. Color is very dark brown, with a small beige head, disappearing. Aroma is clearly roasted malts, with herbal hops. Taste is malty, meaty, some yeast, roasted. Not complex but nice. Medium carbonation. Not my favorite style, but it's good.
