Description

Best goed.

330 ml bottle, purchased as part of a 3-beers giftpack at a food / deli store at Schiphol Airport. ABV is 8.8%. Golden pale brownish colour with the slightest haziness, minimal white head. Aroma of white kandij sugar syrup, malts, alcohol and candied and stewed fruits. Flavour with the same elements, but not as sweet as I feared. Noticeable hops (Saaz and Cascade). Moderately warming mouthfeel.

330 ml bottle, purchased as part of a 3-beers giftpack at a food / deli store at Schiphol Airport. ABV is 5%. Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Distinct aroma of Belgian ale yeast, hints of white kandij sugar syrup, mild spices and honeymelon. The flavour is fairly smooth, some yeasty notes but not too much, otherwise with the same elements as the aroma.

@home poured into a chalice. Slightly unclear deep golden colour, small fizzy white head, vanishes in awink, no lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, honey, yeast, spicy notes. Mild taste light light heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy, yeast spicy notes. Light to medium body, thin texture, flat carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, dissapointing effort of Leeghwater (Jopen) though still drinkable.

330ml bottle. Almost opaque, dark chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty aroma, yeasty fruity overtones, hints of milk chocolate, caramel, a touch of plum, dark berries. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally toasty, dark and caramel malty, slightly yeasty fruity, hints of milk chocolate, a touch of plum, watery interludes. Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft, creamy carbonation. Minimally watery, not much depth - OK.

@home poured into a shaker. Slightly unclear pale golden colour, good frothy white head, dissipating slowly, light lacing. Aroma pale malts, lemon, grapefruit, grassy hops. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter, malty, grapefruit, mineral touch. Light body watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, bonedry bittersweet aftertaste, orange pith, cardboard, lingering bitterness, more IPA than witbier, lacks some depth but overall nice.

33cl Fles. Licht troebel, goudgeel, witte kraag. Aroma is droog, licht kruidig, gist, beetje Saison-achtig, licht hoppig.
