Associated Venue: Sap House Meadery
Established in 2011
The signature of Sap House Meadery is its use of pure New Hampshire maple syrup in many of its meads. In some, such as the Hopped Blueberry or Cranberry Sage, it is used to add complexity. In the Sugar Maple however, it is the main ingredient with nearly half the fermentable sugars coming from maple syrup.
At Sap House Meadery we value community building and strive to source our ingredients locally. We are committed to creating a product that is steeped in history, produced naturally, and enjoyed universally. Our meads are created with a passion for the land and in homage to the bees that keep the land going. Ask for our meads at your local wine shop or grocer, and stop by the Meadery to enjoy our process, have a tasting, and experience our passion. Cheers!

Bottle at home over a few nights. Ruby brown pour. Nose is caramel and apple. Tastes of apple, cinnamon, vanilla, booze, some honey, pie crust. Boozy. Moderate sweetness. Mead game too pricey in general for me but getting spiced meads towards 10 rates.

Bottle from the source Brilliantly clear deep golden color light legs. Sweet honey nose light fruit strong alcohol. Flavor is semi to sweet non descript honey and faint earth with a brandy jam up front that quickly fades to warming alcohol that lingers long after each sip. This is a sipper to be sure! I've never had mead made with Lehua honey before but the alcohol in this one overpowers it to the point that I can't pick out it's nuances. I think this may be fabulous in a year or two, I wish I'd grabbed another to age one and see.
