Wow - this is good. Another level good. Aroma of cacao, vanilla, roast malt and even the stawberry the blurb mentions. Creamy consistency. Some lacing, creamy head. Pours black. Aftertaste is a dose of dessert sweet with only a little bitterness. Tap at Slows.

On tap at Seven Monks in Traverse City. Pours amber with a white head. Citrus and spicy hop aromas. Hoppy citrus, spicy, pine, and floral hop mix in the flavor, biscuit, marijuana hints along with a caramel/butterscotch hints. Very tasty blending of the British hop flavors into the beer.

Draft at the 2012 Michigan Brewer’s Guild Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Medium-bodied with lots of nutmeg and vanilla but little sweetness or woody acidity. Odd.

12 oz bottle, seems to have an expiration date of Oct. 1, 2012 or a bottling date of Jan. 10, 2012. Pours a lightly hazed orange golden with an off-white head. Citrus hop aroma blending into biscuit and caramel. Citrus hops turn into grassy hops, biscuit. Seems a bit stale.

Bottle pour into tulip. Heavy sediment with large chunks. Hits the tongue with promise, but quickly fades to a thin, sour hoppy taste. Drinkable, but not remarkable.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled 1/7/2012. Pours crystal clear very dark reddish brown color with a very nice 2 finger dense khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Some good spotty lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of milk chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, nuttiness, toffee, biscuit, herbal hops, and slight smoke. Very nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of milk chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, biscuit, nuttiness, toffee, light coffee, and herbal spiciness. Fair amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, toffee, light coffee, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance malt and bitterness; quite robust and no cloying flavors at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and very smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with pretty much no warming noticed at all after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice porter. Robust, balanced, and very drinkable. I really enjoyed this one, I don’t know what the other reviewers are drinking.

Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Named "A Great Big Cluster Fuggle" at the fest. Pours a deep amber orange with a slight haze and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a pretty nice hop note with some light citrus but more grass hops and a hint of a sweet grain backing. Flavor has much more earthy grass notes with a bit of pine a backing earthy grain note making it a bit musty.
