Description
We are dedicated to the entire experience of craft; from our creative food menu to our unique beers. The adventure started with creating a perfect beer, and we have kept that focus since our opening in 2005 with 31 combined rotating taps plus hard cider and a variety of wines. The Saugatuck Brewing Company (SBC) has a large family friendly pub, outside patio plus a secondary tap room dubbed “The Barrel Room” for multiple different dining and drinking experiences in one building. We operate on a 45 barrel Brew System with 960 barrels of Fermentation Space and the ability to age over 400 wood barrels at one time.

Pours a hazy copper color with a medium thin off-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries and wheat. Light-bodied with a mildly tart raspberry character with some wheat and malt behind it. The finish is slightly tart with a berry aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

Hazy, light orange with a thin, off-white cap. Aroma is, oddly..........pencil shavings...(cedar)? fruit. Taste is a sweet, pleasant fruitness with a moderate, grassy/grapefruit-peel hop. Mild, but nicely balanced and tasty.

Bottle. Caramel/chocolate and barley malt aroma. Dark brown with small head. Lactic chocolate malt and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Nice body. Good beer - might be disappointing if you are expecting a smoky beer though.

Pours hazed, woody brown with a thick tan head. Scent is wood, nuts, earth. Taste is earthy hop, caramel malt. Smooth, a litttle tingly....peppered. Earthy bittering. Not bad at all.

Pours black, with a thick brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, vanilla, strawberry...... Taste is the same with a mild ashy bittering..... Pretty apt name for this beer, really....it delivers what it says. Creamy, but finishes a bit chalky. Pretty good.
