Amber-red colour. Appley, caramelly aroma. Chewy, sweet, caramelly flavour. Very simple profile. Hardly any yeast character to speak of and no hops.

(Bottle 75 cl) Rather pale golden, typical blond ale, slightly hazy. Decent head. Yeast in both nose and flavour with a very subdued bitterness. Pronounced carbonization - way too much actually. A rather dull Belgian ale. Brewed for a Pacific NW import company. 070505

Bottle Creamy, off-white head, which diminishes totally. Good lace. Hazy, amber body. Nuts, caramel, flowers in the nose. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter initial flavour. Lightly bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Hazy amber colour. Fruity (mainly cherry) aroma, a little bit woody as well. Candyish character, a little grapey. Sweetish with a hint of sour. A little on the fizzy side.

Bottle Poured a bright clear light yellow/gold with lots of effervescence. A large white head nad very nice sheeting lacing. Mild on the Belgian aroma/flavor and mainly a fairly subdued, wheat and light mallt flavors. Not much hops and all in all very pleasant. Thanks to Buck for sharing during a home brew day.

An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aorma is sweet with notes of coriander, while the flavor is quite perfumated and sweet, but also with notes of spices and caramel.

Deep gold, clear beer; good carbonation to frothy off-white head. Creamy nose, white candi sugar, quite neutral. Sharp, pseudo-citrus taste, reverting to neutral-sweetish. Bit fatty retronasal. Ever so slightly slick, thinnish texture, and not really medium bodied. Bit weird, not entirely pleasant aftertaste. Cannot say I like it, but neither why. It’s very neutral, and certainly not as bad as the Danes claim. Their first confrontation with a top-fermenting ale, I presume?

Hazy blond color. Quite nice (Belgian) spicy and hoppy aroma. The taste is very much balanced, between the malt and the hop, in the best Belgian tradition; quite dry ending. One more good brew from De Proef.
