Bottle, from The Grove, Huddersfield. Pours unclear dark brown with a beige cap. Aroma: roasted malt, sour cherry. Taste: sweet & sour with roasted malt, red berries, sour cherry, light tartness. Medium body with fine carbonation.

On tap at Grote Dorst, pours an opaque deep dark red, no head. Aroma is pungent cherry-forward, a touch of leather. Flavour is sour, with intense, sour cherries, some balsamic, and medium acidity. Lots of sour cherry, with a pronounced acetic note. Fun to try the base of their Oude Kriek. Pleasant but undeveloped.

On tap at A La Becasse, pours a clear golden with almost no head. Nose is sugary, with cardboard, gentle leather, and candi sugar. Flavour is flat and cardboardy, with sugars, cardboard and light leather. Sugary and cardboardy. Certainly nothing special, but it's not a disaster.
