Bottle at a tasting. Thanks eyes_wide_shut. Clear deep reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel and some toasted malt. Sweetish flavor with some caramel and a drier and slightly herbal finish. Light to medium-bodied.

At a tasting, thanks eyes_wide_shut, clear darkish brown, aroma of toasted malt and toffee, flavour of sesame, dried fruits and some metalic notes. Too light and not enough body, not too good.

21/01 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! As Shumensko premium, but it had also 4,6% ABV. It poured golden body with small head. Corn, cornflakes and honey malt cloying aroma. A bit better flavor, had some notes of herbal hops, but it’s generally sweetish, dusty, grainy, crude at moments with lot of honey malt. Still boring. Medium in body with short corky and dusty finish. Blah.

Shumensko Premium Beer, 4.6%, huge thanks to Marin for bringing it from, humm, Sofia I guess. Shared with ogivlado and heavy. Poured a golden body with a small white head that went away fast. Light grainy, interesting sweet nose, ending dry. Weak notes of corn I guess. The taste is... humm, light yeastiness and some malt (dog food, eh). And that’s it. No real bitterness. Ah well, what could one expect from a mainstream Bulgarian lager...

Bottle in Bulgaria. Pours light gold, very little head. Faint malt aroma, some grain. Very light flavor, with some weak cereal and corn, and very little bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet on the finish. Nothing special. Easy drinking.

Bottle. Hazy chestnut pour with a medium, off-white head. Malt, lager yeast and sweet bread in the nose. Fairly sweet flavor, crisp, with caramel character. Light to medium in body with some fizzy carbonation. Sweet, crisp finish with light caramel. Decent. Kind of like a dark pale lager.

500 ml brown glass bottle with tear-off cap, as Shumensko Premium Beer. ABV is 4.6%. A gift, BB date seems to be 13.12.08. Extremely pale yellow colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma with strong "chemical" notes, vile stuff. Soft mouthfeel. Bland and boring flavour with just a hint of sweetness and minimal hops, but not totally undrinkable.
