Can in Gabrovo - picked up at the shop at the end of the street. Pours clear burnt gold with a small, foamy white head. Tasty stuff, has light metallic zing, lightly bitter straw, dried malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly clean finish, more pale grains, hay. Decent.

getrunken in einem bulgarischen Restaurant in Wien aus der Stubbi-Flasche, welche in Bulgarien offenbar auch einen Pfand hat. Es ist ein angenehm zu trinkendes, helles Bier, das nicht zu kompliziert ist. Nicht allzu besonderes, aber ein gutes Bier gegen den Durst und zum Essen.

Can from Dutch Balkan supermarket. Color: Rather pale golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, apple. Rather strange to smell apple in a lager. Taste: Ok... Where to start? Weird lager. Watery for sure and little taste at all. I get some apple hints again, some cardboard, some malt and some hop, but overall it's watery and light bodied. Light to moderate sweet and bitter. So… I've tasted my first Bulgarian beer, but it did not make my happy at all. One of the worst beers I've tasted, no need to ever try this one again.
