Cloudy yellow with a frothy white head. Strong banana aroma, slightly caramelly. Light-bodied with a rather light flavor, mild banana-ness and moderate cloves and wet grains.

33cl bottle from a colleague. Touch of cardboard but some good hops too. Its ok some emptiness but drinkable enough.

Bottle shared by Ian at the CBC - Clerkenwell, London 1st Birthday Party. Pours clear gold, effervescent with a fine, white foam head. bready, sweet, some honey, mild caramel. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, lightly sticky finish, more honey and sweet bread. Fine for the style.

German Christmas Market in Birmingham (West Midlands): 5th Dec 2012. Draught pint into a ’Lowenbrau (Munich) glass tankard. Looked good in the sunlight on a really cold, crisp afternoon: Deep amber/mahongany in colour, clear and clean: on top a thin off-white covering that turned into a small wisp and a collar fairly quickly. Pleasant malty aroma and taste: semi-sweet with hints of winter/Christmas spices, cinnamon? Nice surprise to see this at the huge 180+ stall annual event: most places just sold ’German Lager’ and didn’t even give the brewery name or ABV: I hate that, it is worse when the staff don’t know what beer it is either! Highlight of the tasting was the stall next door with its Hams being cooked on rotating spits and the talking/singing reindeer head above the next nearest beer hut.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice creamy head. Starts mild, yeasty, a bit dry. Only mild-fruity like banana. Finish more and more moldy. Only average!

Hefiger, stark karbonisierter Beginn. Schnell wird das Bier bitterer und trocken, die Aromen wirken zu diesem Zeitpunkt laff. Später fast etwas alkoholisch würzig wirkend, zu trocken. Hier gibt es noch einiges zu verbessern. 11/7/6/6/8/6

Bottle, thanks to Ian. It pours amber, with a fizzy white head. The nose is toast, orange and metal. The taste is caramel, dough, metal, underlying sweetness, orange pith and nut. Light to medium body and high, fizzy carbonation. So-so.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, almost too mild for an export. Then more and more spicy, a bit grasy. Light dry notes. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Not bad!
