Shaker pint draft at Burg and Barrel in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is clear darker golden with a well formed and lasting egg white head. The aroma is bready, fresh grain, floral, soft honey sweetness. The taste is a nice balance of the honey sweet malt, fresh bread and finishes with dry floral hop. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and finishes clean with the floral and honey. Nice Oktoberfest.

[50cl bottle of Benediktiner Hell from my local Aldi.] A straw coloured pour with a loose white head and light carbonation; grainy aroma; sweet cereal grain taste with a chewy malt body; and a light grassy bitterness. A pleasant Helles.

50cl bottle from Prisma, Tallinn. Pours clear, pale golden with a white head. Mild grainy aroma with hints of hay and fruits. Moderate to medium sweet with low flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Clean and drinkable.

Bottle from Aldi near Murdos in Aberdeen. It pours crystal clear pale gold with a fluffy, but quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is soft, bitter - sweet, biscuit, hob nibs, bready malt, cereal and bread & butter pudding. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, touch of bitterness, bitter - sweet character, grassy, leafy, straw, toasty grain, cereal, slightly fatty, biscuity malt and bread with a pithy, slightly watery finale. Light to average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Fairly light, but easy going.

500ml Bottle from Aldi. Pours hazy amber in colour, with a tight, creamy, white head. Light, bubble gum, orange peel and green herb aroma. Easy drinking with some grainy malts, a touch of yeastiness, some apricot jam, leading to a rather gentle finish for the ABV. Fine.
