2014 RBWG Grand Tasting. Brown body with tan head. Big bourbon aroma that takes over as the predominant flavor. Too much bourbon, maybe there was a great beer here.

Bottle shared by Gene at RBWG grand tasting, thanks! Pours a clear amber with a brown hue and a yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of dark grains with bourbon and vanilla and a bit of roasted malts underlying. Flavor starts with dark bread and roasted malts but grows in sweetness with vanilla and bourbon.

Pours gold with a fading head.Nose shows potent Nelson passion fruit notes along with some cookie dough characters. Interesting stuff.Similar flavours, big Nelson hop characters. Not much malt but there is a faint fruity sweetness. Finishes very dry and bitter. Almost sharp.Carbonation could be a little higher.
