Description
Kinn Bryggeri AS was incorporated in April 2009.

Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

Tap @ Både &, Kristiansand. Unclear brown body with a small tan head. Aroma has caramel, bread, toast and a hint of licorices. Nice, sweet and balanced flavor, sweet malt, dry fruit, toast, some caramel, moderate bitterness, Christmas spices and distinct licorices. Fine body and long lasting, smooth aftertaste of dry fruit, caramel and licorices. Very smooth and pleasant.

Tap @ Både &, Kristiansand. Black body with a small beige head. Aroma is dark malt, chocolate, vinous, wood, red berries and light roasted. Flavor was a big surprise for the low ABV, rather rich first impression with mild roasted dark malt, chocolate, lots of red berries, dry fruit, wood and slightly vinous almost a little funky. A little hint of Rodenbach actually. After a few more sips the whole thing feels a bit thinner and lighter, but still a very nice flavor. Might call it a session barrel aged stout? Love it. The bartender told me this one has changed a lot over a weeks time, so this might have been less berries/fruity and funk if tasted a week or two ago.

May 2015: Kinn Humlehaud India-Øl, 75 cl flaske, 4,7%:

Meget drikkelig!

Aroma of caramel, brown kandij sugar syrup and mild spices, an unpleasant hint of solvent. Malty and fairly sweet flavour, again with notes of caramel, brown kandij sugar and mild spices, hints of hops in the finish.
