Draft @ Moeder Lambic, Fontainas. Orangée, col blanc épais. Arôme léger de levure avec une belle présence de houblon pour un bouquet fruité; pamplemousse, tropical et autres agrumes. En bouche, côté houblon reste bien en avant, le tout étant fleuri. Palais est sec avec un malt et grain en retrait. Garde cette impression de chaire de pamplemousse frais très agréable allant vers une pointe acidulée qui est balancée. Un beau mélange d’agrumes avec sur la fin une épice houblonnée qui se glisse entre tout cela.

Bottle in Rome, purchased from Domus Birrae. Light haze on this amber beer, tidy off white head. Fairly good hops (and after the hop wilderness that is Italy in October they are very welcome!). A little Nelson Sauvin maybe with dry bitter orange. Dry and bitter finish with some minerals. Not bad if a bit dry.

Bottle in Rome, purchased from Domus Birrae. Light haze on this amber beer, small off white head. Palate is smooth and softish with very fine carbonation. Some welcome hops but hardly IPA levels. Mild and orangey they impart some bitterness. At least this one has some hops.

Bottle in Rome, purchased from Domus Birrae. Very dark red-brown beer. Short lived tan head. Light dry palate. Mild dark malt with a little coffee. Mild hop. Sans chocolate!! Dry finish. Slightly dull !
