Bottle at Barrel Beer House, Bodrum, Turkey. Fairly fruity weizen with notes of citrus and banana. Some spicy yeast, wheat, lemon. Light bitter and mild sweet.

Grainy, barley, dusty, crisp, watery

Bottle Pours amber with off-white head. Malty, sweetish, warming alcohol. Must be a hammer on a beach.

9th August 2024, Margie is at the Shrewsbury Flower Show with four friends; Bertie (my 11 year old Border Collie) and I are having a mini-tasting session together. My brother Rupe brought this 33cl bottle back from a recent holiday in Turkey, sadly he didn't notice it's BBD of 24th July 2024, but it's only just out of date. Anyway it is about to be poured into my lovely thistle shaped 'Gordon' glass at 14:00 UK time. Looks cracking, clean dark brown with a decent foaming head of tight tanned bubbles. Malty aroma with a leather strap or two, taste also malty, some semi-sweet coffee and chocolate notes arrive as it warms in my glass and the head falls away. Liked it, plus this being my 20th Turkish beer I will move onto the top 50 rater's list of Turkish beers.

33cl bottle: BB 25th June 2025. Brought back from Türkiye by my brother Rupe. Drank at home on 8th August 2024. Light haze in the highly carbonated pale golden body, white crust on top. Tropical/Citrus fruit aroma and taste, fairly bitter and refreshing.

Süffiger, mild herber Beginn. Trocken karamellig, etwas bitter, getreidig, mittellanger Abgang. Nett, kurzer Abgang. 10/8/8/9/10/8

Spritziger, hell hopfiger Beginn. Milde Süße, leicht bitter, würzig, hefig, milde Süße, mittellanger Abgang. Nett. 10/9/8/9/7/9

Cremiger, süßlich hopfiger Beginn. Erkennbar alkoholisch, hefig, weich, geringe Herbe, mittellanger Abgang, gut! 10/11/10/10/9/11
