473ml can. Pours a clear red-brown with a small, short lived, beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, chocolate, nuts and a hint of vanilla. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and nuts with a slightly bitter coffee finish. Light body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Ok.

This "tartan" ??? Poured a light yellow colour with a minimal white head. No lacing. Scents include corn, light hops and mineral water. First swig was quite watery with a thin mouthfeel. Flavours of corn and a little hops, with tiny bit of smoke in the background. Finish is thin with a little honey/malt flavour lingering...

Pours a clean amber colour with a frothy white head, good retention and decent foamy lace. Grainy cereal malt scent with some fruity notes and hints of caramel, hops. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Fruity malts with a nice grainy finish. Quite a nicely balanced, easy-drinking amber ale.

This one poured a nice,clear amber colour with minimal head. Scents include burnt hair, perm solution, etc. First taste was not as bad as the smell. Flavours of malt and light hop. Watery. Finish is slightly bitter with malty flavour lingering..

This ale poured a light amber colour with a minimal, white head. Scents include corn, resin and malt. Somewhat lifeless to the nose. First sip was watery with medium carbonation. Flavours of corn and light hop with a lightly sweet aftertaste. Nothing worth noting here.

Bought the random big 1 liter with the swing top. For just less than $10 for a liter is not bad, hopefully it’s worth trying. Pours a dark coke colour, clear with a little tan head that nearly disappear in no time at all. Smells good. Roasted malts, molasses and a little vanilla. Taste comes off a little thin, coffee, burn toast, little bitter hops. So this beer is Meh. Might be perfect for my Dad who doesn’t want any challenge in what he drinks, and that swing top will make him feel all fancy, but it just doesn’t cut it for his beer-snob son.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thick frothy off white head. In aroma, a rather damp and chalky malt, slightly oxidized (beer is 2 days old!) with weird creamy notes. In mouth, a lager like concoction with mineral grainy malt, faint grassy hops, not very good.

This ale poured a clear yellow colour with a rocky, bright white head. Scents include eggs, a little vinegar and ??? First sip wasn’t as bad as the smell. Smooth and watery with flavours of corn and malt. Finish is slightly sweet with an almost oily mouthfeel. Obviously not what they originally canned.

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a light golden colour with a fizzy-bubbly white head that disappears quite quickly and no lace in sight. Big bubble carbonation, but dies down also quickly. Butterscotch with some cereal grains, basically diacetyl. Mild and buttery. Same mild sweet malt and hint of butterscotch in the taste. The mouthfeel is slightly oily, but pretty light and boring overall. Not gross with diacetyl overly, and I like Hockley, but this is their weakest brew. Still, I guess not bad for a light beer.

Really not bad at all. Great patio beer for the hot sun. Pours clear golden with fizzy head and not much lacing. No unpleasant,finish, pretty nice and crisp with a touch of candied malt. Tall can.
