Description

Clear amber with a modest amount of head; smooth lacing. Interesting smell for a saison, with honey and caramel and boiled corn being present, only a feint funkiness in the nose hints to a saison yeast. The taste follows through, making this more like a hopped barley wine, for me. Sweet notes of red grapes, figs, prunes and honey on top of a bitter body. It gets more complex at around 6-10C.

Hazy orange pour with visible white sedimentation. Has a very fine and sticky foam. Smells of yeast and lemon zest. The taste is very well balanced, with delicate notes of citrusy hops (mostly orange) atop a caramel malty sweetness. It has a smooth mouthfeel, made pleasant by the soft carbonation. Leaves a lightly bitter and salty aftertaste.
