I was disappointing with this beer and some others from this brewery. Copper color, average carbobation, almost no hop and malt, watery, drinking it in 2016.

Tap at Frog Revolution by the Bastille monument in Paris. Dark amber-brown with a head. Light to mid roasted malts come with a smoothness and a hint of sweetness.

On tap at the Frog & Rosbif, Bordeaux. It’s a long time since I tasted a black IPA, fun to try one again. Deep brown body under a moderate sized, dense, lacing tan head. Aroma is mild roasted malt, some fruit and slightly pine. Flavor is also smooth with mild roasted dark malt, a touch of dark chocolate, some general fruitiness and decent bitterness. Fine balance in flavor, body and pleasant bitter aftertaste. More than decent BIPA.

On tap at the Frog & Rosbif, Bordeaux. Slightly unclear dark golden body with a nice, dense, medium sized, lacing white head. Aroma has slightly ripe peach and citric fruit with some malt. Flavor is quite straight forward classic IPA, fruity similar to aroma, smooth malt, hint o caramel and average bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Perhaps I bit more in the direction of British IPA, nothing to challenging or outstanding, but a fair decent easy going rather refreshing IPA.

Pint nitro draft at Frog Hop House in Paris, France. The pour is a creamy, opaque black brown with a creamy thick tan head. The aroma is a faint touch of cream, perhaps some soft roast grain. The taste is a light dark ale, hints of roast and soft caramel malt all pretty muted. The palate is light bodied with low nitro creamy carbonation and a clean dull, almost watery, finish. Just ok.
