About
The reason Jamie Emmerson and Irene Firmat started Full Sail in the first place was to build a company that was completely different from the ones where we’d previously worked. It wasn’t about business as usual. It was about finding our calling in life — about truly appreciating our “human resources,” and balancing work, life, family and friends in a way that makes life truly worth living.

Determined to make world-class beer in our own backyard, one of our first, and perhaps best, decisions was to invest in new, state-of-the-art brewing equipment. So we bit the bullet, laid down our borrowed cash, and spent the better part of 1987 installing the new system. Our love for the environment is what drives our sustainable practices, so pure water, local ingredients and responsible processes are poured into each and every tasty pint.

From a really pretty can. Straw color, clear. Short lived head. Nose is lightly grainy, faint hint of a spicy hop, flavor much the same with a modest bitterness at finish. Light to medium bodied. For a beer style that's not meant to be very good, this is almost very good.

0.355l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Dark copper body with a thin white head. Huge biscuit notes in the aroma with some spicy hops, caramel, nutmeg and raisins. Taste of toast, caramel, raisins, orange zest, spicy hops and gingerbread cookie. Nice one.

Bottle pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is pine citrus hops some grape fruit and a nice sweet malt. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts combo with the bitter citrus hops.

Stubby from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of wheat and hop so light I can't identify it. Med body or so. Flavor is somewhat pale stone fruit, perhaps a citrus note. A bit wheaty. There seems to be a strong flavor, but I just can't figure out much other than already noted. Just not finding it pleasing.

Bottle. Copper colour, small head. Aroma is herbal hops, toffee. Medium bitterness, no sweetness. Decent, but not very interesting, very English in character.

Pours golden-hazy with a decent head. Aroma is typical of an IPA. Taste isn't bad, I liked how the hops were very crisp and didn't linger too long on the taste buds. Palate leaves something to be desired, I felt as though this was a very one-dimensional beer.
