Can from Corti Bros. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. In mild light it has a slight hibiscus tone - but simply murky gold in strong light. Aroma is something like peach cheese. Never had that, but ... Near med body. Flavor is sort of like a cheese, mildly, but also fruity and a bit lacto. It's clearly "sour", but not acidly so. I think the floral is present, but just doesn't stand out obviously with all the competition. Rather refreshing. I'd have called it a Berliner Weiss in a blind tasting.

Bomber from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours orange/gold with a creamy/bubbly white head. Aroma is pine and maybe citrus. Med + body. Tho it thins a bit as the carbonation quickly leaves. Flavor is a little caramel and a lot of citrus/pine hop. Not juicy/fairly dry/ nicely bitter. Gets a little pale stone fruit. Really hoppy.

On tap at The Good Hop, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out intense piney hops and just enough biscuity malt to back. Flavour is similar, with heaps of piney and citrus hops, and a bone dry biscuity malt backbone. Super dry and quite bitter on the finish. Good stuff, if a bit too astringent.

Tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City. Aroma of lemon and tropical fruit dominate. Moderate pine in support. Clear light gold with a moderate sized, fluffy head that fades to a collar with dusting across the top. Flavor has more pine and cracker, with the tropical aspects more in reserved. Malt is crisp white cracker. Excellent and crushable.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours light translucent gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma of peppery pine? Med + body. Flavor is citrus, maybe even zest, with arguably pine and some hot bits. Not totally dry, a little bready caramel sweetness lurks in the depths that hint of lurking dankness. Lots of hop. Not harsh. Decently bitter. This is wow stuff.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aromas of tropical and peach. Med + body. Flavor is tropicals, pale stone fruits, and apparently citrus for a sharp hop bitterness. This is about hop; malt support present, but it’s not getting in the way of the hops. Fruity, juicy, delicious.

Can from beerboxer. Pours very hazy gold (like pineapple juice) with a white head. Aroma is perfume-floral-fruit. Med body at least. Flavor is very juicy. It’s tropical and citrus. Gets a touch of earth/wood in the finish. Very dry finish. Malt rather concealed. Good that.

Bottle from Cap Tap. Pours gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of a solera barrel thing. Med body or not quite. Flavor is just a tad sweet. But there’s wood astringency, and even vinous tinged wood. This stuff is to die for. On to calvados barrels with this ale. Trust me. I think any barrel would work as well as this. Caveat: Any non-bourbon barrel. Or single-malt barrel. But any other type of barrel. Trust me.

Part of a blind tasting of 10 hazy IPAs at Harry’s Hofbrau during SF Beer Week. This won the competition, but did not place on my voting. Moderately high bitterness with restrained aromas. I did think the alcohol was well hidden Poured a slightly hazy copper with smallish off-white head.
