Description
At Moon Dog we love crafting bloody delicious beers that are fun and a little bit different. We've been doing it since 2010 at our rad brewery in the backstreets of inner Melbourne’s Abbotsford. Over the years we’ve grown a heap, adding our tropical brewery bar paradise, the ballroom oasis function space, and a freakin' big fancy production brewery to keep more delicious beers flowing. We’re a proudly independent, Australian owned craft brewery, still run by the same guys that started it all those years ago.

Can. Opaque brownish apricot with a cm of white head. Brooding stone and very ripe tropical fruit with a bright herbal citrus note over the top. And although it's sweet and a bit sludgy that top note dominates for a while until resin and tropical fruit - mainly passionfruit and mango - rear up towards a surprisingly bitter finish. Interesting, pretty good. Hugely punchy for 6.5%.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a tight coffee coloured head; aroma of chocolate and sour grains; smooth and milky in the mouth with some spice and sour cherries then some sweet chocolate cake; before a sour cherry finish. A pleasant fruity stout.

Can from Beer 52. Has a fairly strong fruity aroma – mainly grapefruit but with some orange and other citrus. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with minimal white head. Fruitiness dominates in the mouth, with grapefruit and orange to the fore with hints of tropical fruits. It’s drinkable but not very interesting.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 29/01/21. Light black with a modest tan covering. Nose is chocolate, light spice, dried fruit rinds, hint of red berries. Taste comprises cocoa powder, brown sugars, light coffee strains, red berry notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable affair.

27/1/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours cloudy/murky dark orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of tart plums, prune juice, peach and apricot. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a nice tart edge. Moderate body, a bit watery texture, gently spritzy carbonation. Plum seemed to fade pretty quick leaving the stone fruits and prune more prominent. But quite liked it.

Strange one this! Pours a slightly hazy gold with a small frothy off-white head, and a fair degree of carbonation. The aroma is pina colada like, with some citrus zest and a touch of vanilla, and the first ‘taste’ sensation is a bitter lime bite, after which it smooths out, on a creamy yet fizzy mouthfeel, with lemon and lime and pineapple apparent, and a dry bitter finish

Tight beige head left a collar on sa black still body. Chocolate, cherry & coffee aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a thinner clean dry back. Jam, malt, cherry & burnt tastes with faint hops & jam on the finish. It's a bit mixed up

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 23/01/21. Lightly hazed orange with a moderate pink hue topped with a modest off white cap that clears to a swirl. Nose is tangy plum, hay bale, grass, lemon rind, grains. Taste comprises more plummy notes, prunes, sweet syrupy tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering edge. Passable affair ... a little sweet and lacking dimension but you get the plum.
