Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

Cask at Craft Islington. It pours amber with a small white head. The nose is dough, grainy, farmyard, cat litter and white wine. The taste is doughy, toast, earth, grass, decent bitterness, grapefruit and sherbet with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Tastes decent, but doesn’t smell all that great!

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Looks good, and should you be planning on eating chicken, cooked with chorizo, peppers and smoked paprika, then this is absolutely the drink to go with it!

Craft Islington. Cask. Clear deep red - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and a litte dry. Decent fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, quite light but still imparting decent mellow coffee. Touches of lactose and red berry fruits. Comes together well with all flavours in good balance. Finishes smooth.
