Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

33cl bottle. BB 11/13. Near black in color, beige, thick head. Lovely smoked ham and bacon aroma with some light hops as well. Flavor is the same with ham, bacon and smoke. Quite ashy, dry finish with some fruity hops lingering in the back. Light to medium bodied. Good drinkability. Love smoked beers, and this one goes quite high on the list, despite being a little thin.

Keg at the Cask, Pimlico, 25/09/13. Clear golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is slightly booze coated, bready malt, caramel, bitter orange. Taste comprises orange pith, cheesey, bitter hops, sugars, grapefruit. Medium bodied, a little hot and sticky, astringent hop bitterness in the finish. A little bit messy and probably my least favourite beer from these guys.
