Can shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Huge thanks to MacBoost for shipping this one. Pours clear gold with a white cream crown. The nose holds sugary dough, white bread. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with touches of honey and cantaloupe, more white bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Smooth and sugary to finish. Great stuff.

I have come to beleive that melanie and rinkuskai are trying to be the kings of the rudest beers in the world, no shit. Made the mistake of buying this 24 oz can and then letting it sit on my car seat for 20 minutes before I sampled it, should have made it cold as possible. I think the last time I had beer this crappy was when I did melanie’s jaguar. When popped, the aroma is somewhat like sewer and sulfur but that clears to an alarming sugary sweet volatile olfactory that is nearly repulsive. Clear pale yellow with a pissy head. Weirdly sweet on the initial palate, like really cheap adjunct lager BS. Difficult at times, especially with that trying to hold the gag reflex thing on every swig. Cheap whiskey was simply mixed in. Oddly, just plainly quite rude and fricken watery. In someways, this stuff reminds me of the worst barleywine, with it’s terrible cloying aggravating happy BS sweetness. Terrible, just terrible I think to myself. I normally associate bitterness with crudeness but this needs manners even without bitterness, it must have been raised in the jungle all by its lonely self. Finish is just plain unrefined and nasty. Why am I trying this, for the tick? NOT WORTH IT. Date code fresh but just palin BS Overall, smells like sweet sewage and tastes like sweet sewage, triggers gag reflex on every sip and this is from a ubiquitous pale lager lover. BULLSHIT STACK. Look, I love cheap beer but this is pushing the envelope, 1.25$ for 24 oz can at a gas station in WVA. Yep, shouldah made sure this was cold as possible, that was my big mistake.

UBC LaCrosse WI and under special agreement Memphis TN on the can.

It pours a fairly dark yellow with a 1 finger head of foam with lots of bubble action.

Huge corn notes in the smell as well as some grain. It also smells the full 9.9% abv.

Corn first and foremost followed by some lemon twang that leans towards the tart side. Saying that it is rough tasting would almost be a compliment; smooth is mentioned a few times on the can.

The tartness intensifies as the beer warms and in a case like this, that is not a good thing.

I had to try it. It was cheap as dirt. I hope my sink doesn’t mind a few ounces.

Smooth brewed, my arse. I had to give it a go; corn and sourish lemon do not make a good tag team.

24oz can poured into a snifter, just like all good likkas should be. Pours a clear dark gold with minimal head.maroma of corn, green apple, white grape and a hint of cotton candy. Taste is light tart, follows aroma.mloads of grape and apple with corn and a little caramel. Light bodied with a somewhat slick texture. Lively carbonation and quite the long finish. Overall, not bad. More tart than I was expecting but the alcohol is very well hidden.

Can-check, black gold flashy label-check, taken down to below zero-check. Ok we’re ready. It pours with a crystal clear gold body that has copper hues and supports a micro thin white head. The aroma offers up pears, apples, sugar and some chemical booze. The taste starts sweet and ends sweeter. Amid the bruising sweetness loiters sticky apple juice and pear juice. There’s only a mild boozy roughness but as this warms just above freezing the sweetness gets unruly. This is a 3er.
