Founded in 2014 by Alistair Brown and Giselle Dye Bellfield Brewery is a craft brewery with a mission: to create great tasting, gluten-free beer that anyone can drink. We are producing beer in the UK, in small batches, using traditional brewing methods combined with non-traditional ingredients; beers that can be enjoyed by both Coeliacs and the growing number of people who wish to avoid gluten in their diet. Bellfield was founded in Scotland by coeliacs.

As predictable or as terrible M Night Shyamalan's films are they are strangely appealing at the same time. This beer too is strangely appealing without being superb. It's an old school IPA with a traditional hoppiness, mild sweetish bready notes and a moreish quality.

After 50 plus venues over four days in Edinburgh the last drink I have is in the closest to what could be described as an 'Old Man' pub. The beer was decent but expectedly a bit weak tasting given the strength. Nevertheless a tropical fruitiness is just about evident.

Dark traditional Scottish style ale, which is easily traversed. Time for today's deadication brew and keeping it Scottish to Sir Matt Busby, who survived the Munich Air Disaster on this day in 1958.

Every Greene King pub in Edinburgh is adorned with Six-Nations Rugby paraphernalia, this one is no exception. My exception in heading into one in tourist central Edinburgh was for the fact they had this unremarkable Rugby special ale on. Hopped with light fruity-bitterness.
