Bottle. Real Ale Shop, Branthill, Norfolk. Clear, deep ruby red. Skim of tan head. Nose has light roast coffee. Vanilla. Cinnamon. Taste is fruity, dry, and roast coffee malt bitter. Silky mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Light bitterness to finish. The sweet aroma is really well matched with the light bitter taste. Very nice.

20th December 2017
Light haze on this gold beer, good cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry and with decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth dry malts, a light creamy sweetness. Light skunk and good pine. Nice mix of orange and tropical fruits. Spice runs through out. Semi-dry finish brings a little candy fruits. Nice job.

500ml bottle [Thanks to Grumbo for this award-winning Mild!]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Toasty, dark malty aroma with a nuttily touch, hints of Brazil nut, dark chocolate, liquorice, cold coffee, a touch of toffee. Taste is mildly roasty, dark malty, slightly nutty and minimally chocolately, a touch of liquorice and toffee, cautious fruity overtones with hints of raisin, lingering hop bitterness. An extensive voyage through a great many malty regions.

Bottle from The Courtyard shop, Elveden. Malts and chocolate overpowered by a gassy milky cheese waft. This was a real gusher, started by foaming out of the bottle. Dark cola brown. Bubbly beige head, once it settles there are still a few mm. A creamy sweet edged bitterness. However, like the aroma, there’s a overpowering element - a particularly bitter streak is over emphasised by the lively fizzy carbonation. To be fair this gradually reduced in intensity and things smoothed out. Medium bodied. Slick. Long finish. Would have preferred this if it hadn’t been for the carbonation overload. However once this calmed down a perfectly good mild came through.

Hazy golden color with a small white layer on top. Moderate intensity in the aroma with some weird notes. Reminded me of soap. Medium (-) body and a soft carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Malty, mild fruity and some lemon in the flavor. Not really good.
