500ml Bottle - Dark amber/copper with a haze and a small head. Grapefruit, pine, blackcurrant and raisins in the aroma. Fruity and hoppy taste with grapefruit, blackcurrant, raisins and hints of chocolate and caramel. A nice modern interpretation of a bitter.

Bottle from 3at3 Cafe, taken at home. Red-brown, cloudy with a small tan head and a bit of visible carbonation. Light toasty and nutty aroma with a metallic note, not much to it unfortunately. Tastes gorgeous though: sweet and sugary with raspberry caramels and marzipan. Cherry brandy, yeast rolls and toffee chews in the aftertaste. Full body with fizzy carbonation. Pretty special.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Smooth palate, fairly dry, modest fine carbonation. Sweet malts, trace of dry cream. Smooth ripe fruits. Whisper of esters. Smooth semi dry finish brings a little spice. Quite pleasant.

Hazy reddish amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Malts are semi dry and sweetish. Ripe berries and marmalade. Modest spice and a trace of licorice. Smooth and semi dry finish brings a little warmth. Not bad.

Bottle, picked up in Norfolk late last year. Don’t recall exactly where from. Mostly clear, dark red. Ring of beige. Nose has cracknel toffee. Stem ginger. Some chewy toffee. Some red berry. Taste is a little sweet, with a light, raw berry bitterness. Medium body. A bit overly fizzy. Some stewed fruit sweetness to finish. Been in the cellar rot box for a while, but I’ve quite enjoyed this one.
