Hill Farmstead Brewery is the culmination of many years of travel and insight—of experience and education—of friendships and explorations. The brewery is the revival and continuation of 220 years of Hill heritage and hand crafted history in North Greensboro, Vermont. Its logo is retrieved from a sign that once hung in Aaron Hill's (our great(x3) grandfather) tavern, just up the hill, in the early 1800s.

Canned on 06/25/2025. Iets troebele gouden kleur met zeepachtig witte kraag, veel schuim eigenlijk. Geur is lekker kruidige hop, met wat fruit retronasaal (druiven, iets zurig). Smaak is subtiel bitter, kruidig, met een heel licht zoetje. Lichte tot medium body. Zacht bittere afdronk, die lang blijft hangen.

My 8,600th beer rating, so I wanted it to be a special brew. I picked this gem up at Hill Farmstead back in August of 2023. This is a collaboration of three of my all time favorite breweries! 375ml capped bottle. Mostly opaque dark brown pour is topped by a scant creamy tan cap. Earthy, funky dark fruit aroma is mostly cherry. Flavor is crisp, dry, tart. Sour cherry, raspberry, vinous. Barrel, acidic and funky notes. Fairly smooth from the aging. Solid from start to finish.

Pours a hazy, peach-tea color, with big head. Aroma is sour fruit, wild yeast. Flavors follow, with some wine and barrel wood. Mouthfeel seems a bit thin. Tasty sipper.

Pours a dark brown, verging on black, with mid-sized tan head. Aroma has some sour notes, oak, fruit, basement dankness, wild yeast. Flavors follow. Smooth, soft mouthfeel. Really something.

Draught at Monk's: pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is some tropical notes, some herbal notes, little dankness. Taste is not too sweet. Fruity. Low bitterness.

Bottle, 500 ml, shared with Hrvoje, MiroB, Luka. Brown with beige head. Caramel, toffee, dried fruit, dried figs, raisins, bourbon. Medium bodied. As expected quite elegant and balanced.
