About
Both Kiwi Scott and Aussie Cam learnt how to make full flavoured beers as home brewers and then studied how to make these beers consistently at Versuchs und Lehranstalt fur Braurei (VLB) Berlin. Lured to Ireland by two Irish cailins and in search of good beer, they came up with an idea: let’s brew it ourselves!
In 2010 they established Eight Degrees Brewing at the foot of the Galtee Mountains and, after much work, stainless steel and (never ending!) research launched their first beer on an unexpecting world at the 2011 EasterFest.

Older tasting notes from a Beer52 delivery. Black pour with a frothy beige head. Aromas of malt, coffee, chocolate. Flavours of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and hints of red berries. Quite pleasant.

Black color with low beige head. Aroma: sweetish, roasted malt, chocolate, dark roast coffee, red berries, booze. Taste: strange sweetness, chocolate, coffee, watery feeling, not dry, not much of roasted malt character either. Medium body, moderate carbonation, low to moderate bitterness. Out of style IMHO.

Seventh and final beer in a mini-tasting session with little Andy at my place on 14th November 2021. 440ml can: BB 6th May 2022. White head on a hazed golden body. Nose is a blend of malts and citrus fruit esters, taste also malty with citrussy flavours. Decent!

Half-pint, draught at You' ll Never Walk Alone. Pitch black body, scattered lacing, fawn-coloured patches on the surface. Promising aromas of dark bread and black chocolate. Dark malt-driven taste of vanilla chocolate, biscuit, and a dark fruity vibe. Lingering ending, roasted, maybe a whisky note to it. Dangerously easy to drink. Nice sipper, a bit unvaried though. (Kolding 19.10.2021).

440ml can: BB 13th May 2022. Shared with little Andy, who brought this back with him from a trip to Ireland. Mini-haze to the golden body, full on white head. Citrus notes in the nose and taste, grapefruit front aroma and flavour wise.
