Description
Augustin and Victor are two brothers passionate about beer and this magical place called Aywiers. In May 2017, they decided to create the Lutgarde, the beer of Aywiers Abbey, where for almost 600 years a brewery worked for the trade and personal consumption of the nuns.

33 cl. bottle @ the chalet in Wéris, bought @ Delhaize, Durbuy.
Clear dark golden with a white head. Watermelon and peach aroma along with some black pepper and candy sugar. Sweet taste with a medium bitter long lasting finish. Very nice atypical tripel.

75cl bottle shared with Eric in Eecke after returning from England / Stratford-Upon-Avon. Pours a slightly misty blonde, good pure white head. Unlike the hoppy IPA alluded to on the bottle this takes very much a sweet Belgian path with a light citrussy hoppy side. Standard fayre, nice enough.
