Bottle. Contains malt, rice, cherry juice, hops, apple peals, and coriander. Aroma of cherry, grains, butter, pilsner malt. Pale salmon color with a tall pinkish white head. Yeah, a nice rose. Flavor of cherry, pilsner malts, decent noble hops, rich grains. Cherry not terrible but not all that authentic either. Tastes like it is added to their pils. A bit of butter. Rather bitter finish. Ther does seem to be a touch of apple. Not horrible, but not what I want in a beer.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Estery, fruity aroma with banana, peach, cloves, but also some brighter fruit like pear or cherry. Very cloudy deep gold with a small head. Creamy weizen-like flavor, lots of banana, peach, a bit spicy, a slight tart edge. Very creamy, almost buttery, and malty. I cannot really tell what the champagne yeast is doing. Comes across as a weizen with a little more varied fruitiness than usual. Ok, but too sweet and doesn,t have the mouthfeel that "sparkling" seems to imply.

Canned. Cloudy golden, small head. Sweet and very fruity. Rather harsh and amibgeous, starting out with butter and almondy yeast followed by increasing resiny bitterness. Like an unsuccesful mix of Jever, De Koninck and Weihenstephan.

Bottled. Hazy golden, minimal head. Grassy nose with lots of perfume muscat grapes underneath. Very sweetness, where the inheritant sweetness of the grapes contributes mostly. Medium bodied with notes of pears. Some light grassy bitterness. Unusual, almost bizarre.

Malty nose, with cereal very obvious. Slightly sweet malty mouth with cereal and apricots add a touch of flavor. Med bodied. Light slightly sweetish malty finish. Fairly straight forward with moderate depth, but a bit too light for my liking. Decent without being great - in other words the best thing ever from these guys.

Bottle. Pitch black with a medium, frothy, tan head. Sweet, rich, roasted malt aroma. Plums / raisins, cinnamon, something like pecan pie. Rich malty flavor, with chocolate, molasses. Creamy, then roasted and dry. Really pie-like, but with a roasted, dry, long-lasting bitter finish. Wonderful! Complex and well-balanced. Really is more of a Schwarz than dunkel-bock.

Fresh, slightly sweet, Muscat aroma, with a bit of rich, buttery pilsner malt and a touch of hops underneath. Not unpleasant. Light, thin, slightly greenish color with a tall, foamy head. Very sweet, grapey flavor, with a reasonable pilsner character underneath. Too sweet and syrupy tasting, though not really offensive. Not a bad drink for a hot summer day in the sun. Not really great, though.
