Third Noctem IPA of the night (all with Mosaic), first a Session, then normal IPA and now this Double IPA. Hazy golden colour with a white frothy head, decent stay and some lacing. Loads of citrus aromas with some herbal notes. Alcohol does appear with time, some bitterness. Citrusy flavours as well, but with a touch of peach, tropical fruits. Decent dryness builds in the finish. Zest-tart is lightly left on the tongue. An easy-drinking, refreshing, decent-drying citrusy Double IPA. All 3 of these Mosaic IPAs are as solid for their style.

Hazy golden colour with a frothy warm-white cap, good stay and lots of lacing streaks. Big lemon zest nose with some milder juices as base, and a fine grassy touch. The taste shows the zest as well, but the mouthfeel being wet-juicy, and not as dry in the end, makes it refreshing - so not as zesty. Still, citrus, mild grassiness. Another refreshing IPA from this brewery tonight.

Hazy golden-yellow colour with a frothy-foamy cap, good retention and leaving lots of thick lacing streaks. Lemon zest aromas with orange juice undertones, oats and fresh herbal hints. Good citrus notes in the taste with enough juiciness and just a touch of dryness. Quite a nice refreshing, citrusy Session IPA.

Slightly hazed, golden-amber colour with a nice creamy, lightly frothy, warm off-white head with good retention and leaving small foamy lacing streaks. A little hoppier for the style, giving some grassiness over the Munich malts. The Pilsner malts do come out a bit more in the taste with that spiciness, and the hops blended well with this. The Munich malts add a honey touch and hints of bread. Actually, quite a nice, well-brewed, lightly hoppier, spicier Marzen, with a Pilsner touch.

Hazy bright-golden colour with particles running through, a white foamy head with thick soapy lacing. Big lemon juice nose with hints of pepper. A nice blend of lemon juices and zest in the taste with a light warming peppery finish. Mild sourness, mild tartiness. Wish there was a little more Sichuan pepper to balance the strong lemon notes. Still, a decent Saison with a touch of spices.

Clean, golden colour with a big frothy warm-white head, good retention and some soapy-creamy lacing. Straw malt base aromas with some decent hops that offer a touch of green leaves and hints of wood. This grassy-woodiness is a little stronger in the taste. Some nice spiciness lingers. It is like a nice Pilsner with a tad grassiness.

Draft @ BXLBeerFest'23. Tout aussi intéressant de discuter avec le brasseur sur l’origine des noms des bières – le chat est bien au centre de cette thématique. La Catnip semble aussi être devenue une grande classique dans la région et le succès semble bien avoir surpris la brasserie au point de devoir s’étendre. Succès du Vermont pas loin y étant surement pour qcq chose.
Pâle léger trouble, col blanc crémeux tenace.
Arôme sur un bouquet plaisant des houblons – ici, une bonne grosse dipa, fruité sur le tropical, agrumes. La base des malts est en appui et donne déjà une sensation qu’il y a de la matière.
Palais sur une bonne base classique dipa très américaine. Epais en bouche, ronde rappelant l’avoine, résineux avec un retrait de fruits à noyaux – notes d’agrumes et un effet ‘dank’ persistant.

Dark brown colour with ruby, amber highlights. The head is frothy, light beige with good retention and nice creamy-streaky lacing. Roasted malt aromas with coffee notes, liquorice and some pepper spiciness. The taste has the stout base with the roasted barley with decent hops giving a light grassiness. The spicy bird's eye chilies come later, warming a little and lingering. Not getting much of the grapefruits and the mouthfeel is smooth, a little silky with mild drying in the end. A nice, spicy stout.
