Pours light brown with reddish hues, still quite transparent. Two fingers of rather dense slightest off-white head, good retention and very nice lacing. Nice looking beer. Not much intensity in the aroma: a mainly nutty malt base with a kinda soft, slightly dough-like dark bread element, a hint of spiciness and a sugary feel. Taste notes follow the aroma, with half nutty, half bready malts and a quite vivid sugary feel taking the main stage, plus some spiciness in the background. Quite sweet in the mouth with it's sugary character, but showing hints of herbal/tea altbier-like bitterness in a quite dry, cleansing finish. Quite light in body with classicly delicate german carbonation; very easygoing on the mouth. A fairly sugary but still balanced example of the style, not much intensity (at least in this bottle). Clear amber. Aroma is malty grainy grünkern with light noble hops. Taste is sweet grainy malt with mild bitter hops. Rather thick and not too much carbonation. Not bad.

Klare bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, getreidig, leicht röstmalzig mit Karamell. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Optisch dunkles Braun, ordentlich Schaum. In der Nase Getreide, im Trunk malzig, würzig, aber auch etwas muffig. Dazu etwas Schokolade. Leicht unrund.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grainy, some herbal, mild earthy and some slight earthy elements. Flavour is sweet malts, some herbs, grass and mild grains to it. Earthy aftertaste.

500ml bottle. Pours clear pale yellow with a tall white head. Aroma is bready malt, hay, floral hop and spice. Taste is light sweet, bread, malt, grass, spicy hop. Light to medium bitter finish. Light bodied.

500ml bottle. Pours dark gold with a tall white head. Aroma is fruity, grainy, bready. Taste is dry, umami, crackers. Medium bitter finish. Medium bodied. Highly pleasant.
