500ml bottle from Wild Cider Co. Slightly hazy orange gold colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of juicy, fruity apple, funky. Taste is tangy, apple, fruity, with orchardy funk, leather, woody and bittersweet tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-dry finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at GBBF 2019. Funky, bretty nose, acidic, with hay, manure. Medium to pale gold. Acidic, bretty, some sweetness remaining. Sweeter than expected from the nose. Interesting and funky.

Box @ Salutation Inn, Ham. Pours a misty gold. Pure apple fruit on the nose. Good medium-dry character, soft tannin, pure fruit with an enticing sweet side. Good stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tyndale Gold Cider on 07 Nov 2014 at 14:00 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: 500ml bottle from Stirchley Wines. Pours a clear, still gold with next to no fizz. Marginally sweet apple tart aroma, taste is slick, medium sweet apple juice with a touch of furry tannins. Very simple blend, nice enough.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours clear very pale yellowish with a tiny white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, dull pear, pear skin and white grape. The taste is crisp, fresh tartness, lemon sherbet, tart perry pear, minerals, white grape and a bit of sweet elderflower with a short finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty soft and mellow.

Bottle shared in Watford - picked up in Borough Market. Pours clear and very pale, with just a hint of yellow. Moderate ripe pear in the aroma, faint tangy lemon. Light to medium sweet flavour with pleasant tartness, some sugary pears, a nip of mustiness. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Sweet finish, brisk on the palate, with more citrusy tang, semi-ripe pear. Really nice perry. Very drinkable.

Bottle bought at the Salutation, Ham, Gloucestershire, December 2014. Pale gold with no carbonation or head. Medium sweet, perfumed, pear fruit aroma with a hint of earthiness. Flavour was dryish, with deep fruitness, a hint yeast and lingering, medium dry finish. Complex and very enjoyable.

Bottle at the Salutation, Ham, Gloucestershire 14/12/2014. Deep gold with a slight haze. Aroma of medium dry apple fruit, a whiff of the barnyard and a hint of tropical fruit. Flavour was also a combination of traditional medium dry apple character, with some wider fruity notes before a soft, medium finish. Good.
