Tap at Nakanoshima as Heiwa White. Cloudy, bright yellow, low head. Wheaty nose, yuzu, coriander. Medium sweet flavor, lots of citrus. Some coriander. Crisp, decent.

"Super Summer Orange". Very cloudy, pale, and has a very orangey fresh aroma. Orange radler...massive orange juice character without a whole lot of beery nuance. Refreshing, if nothing else.

70 cl bottle from Yamamoto. Huge fruity ginjoka nose: pear, apricot, spices. super fragrant. Light yellow color, slightly hazy. Spicy, fruity flavor, stone fruit, light melon, pear, pepper, cedar, a touch of milky yogurt and vanilla. Light booze. Very summery, smooth, and too easy to drink.

On tap at the Kyoto Fest 2016. This 5.7% Porter poured in a way that had me thinking it was on nitro, deep black with ruby highlights and a dense beige head of foam. A spiced coriander and chocolate aroma leads to a balanced chocolate and spice brew with a medium body. Solid.

On tap at the Kyoto Fest 2016. Heiwa pale ale 4.6% A deep gold with a minty green hop bouquet. Medium bodied with a semi-slick mouthfeel. The taste is sweet malts, a rough earthiness, mint and bitter piney hops. OK but the stout was nicer.

As Heiwa Super Summer Orange 4.5% on tap at the Bincan Fes 2015. A cloudy honey gold that is similar to the Kizakura Pumpkin. It's got a huge juicy orange aroma the brings to mind orangina. Soda like carbonation and super sweet orange flavor. Is this a soda??? Tasty but not at all beer like, a bit too sweet but it has since tangy citrus finish - kind of like Five Alive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Judging by their booth at the Craft Beer Picnic, Heiwa Craft are going for a punk, somewhat Tiny Rebel brand identity. Heiwa Session White - Pours a completely opaque white-gold color with a filmy white head. The nose is pure citrus and wheat. Lovely med-light body with a soft mouthfeel. The taste is coriander and orange, I’d say it’s a zesty belgian witbier. Pretty good. I second what KyotoLefty said, compared to last May these guys are moving in the right direction.

Heiwa Picnic With My Friends IPA - on tap at the Craft Beer Picnic. A dense orange amber pour with a big citrusy hop nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. The taste is piney hops and pithy citrus. Well balanced and approachable. Surprisingly good.
