My morning coffee today, supplied by Matchless. I love being on vacation. 16 oz can poured. Thick coffee black pour, with a thin, dark brown cream head after a hard pour. Aroma is filled with coffee roast, and mixed nut like character. Sweet. Flavor is bold coffee, dark dark dark chocolate. Thick body, massive, powerful flavor. Almost syrupy. Some winter spices to go with this coffee bomb. Cinnamon? Lingering bold coffee bitter finish. Model breakfast beer for sure. It's a whole meal in a glass.

500 mL bottle pour, split at Special Brews. Finally trying this after staring at it numerous times at this same bottle shop. Love all the Matchless hops, so it's always fun to see them put out something like this one. Pours a pale golden color with a rocky head. Funky wild yeast aroma, some grains. Flavor is a bold funk as well. A bit dry. Some spice, and a cool finish. Serious funk going on. Extremely unique. Plenty of oak character comes through. Very good stuff.

16 oz. can, pours a clear yellowish blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out straw, cereal notes, and a touch of sweetness. Flavour follows through, with sweet cereal malt, straw, and biscuity malt. Really nicely constructed - just enough sweetness to add something more interesting to it. Decent.

16 oz. can, courtesy of andrewje41 (thanks Andrew!), pours an opaque filthy dull orange with a small white head. Nose is filthy, with resinous hops, earthy notes, and filthy yeast. Flavour is very dirty and yeasty, with earthy hops, tropical stone fruit pith, and caramel biscuity malt. Too yeasty and confused - subpar for Matchless, but still a good beer.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto upfront, followed by light citrus. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of lacto upfront, followed by citrus. Very clean and easy to drink. Good stuff.

16 oz. can, courtesy of andrewje41 (thanks a lot, Andrew), pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out spicy peppers, medium roasted malt, and some of the cardamom. Flavour is pronounced on the cardamom, with medium spiciness, roasted malt and some dark cocoa. Rather jumbled and I'm just not a fan of the cardamom in here. It's solid for what it is, but not one of the better Matchless beers.

Draft 12 oz pour at Toronado, Seattle. A clean, shiny golden orange pour. Plenty of rocky foam head. At some point very recently, Matchless decided to start doing new beers as often as what seems like every single day. Making it hard to keep up. There is so much beer. Aroma is a slightly dank, somewhat sweaty, juicy citrus hop. A little questionable, but the flavor cleared up the slight worry I had. Cool, juicy and refreshing citrus fruit hop profile with nothing to call flawed. Drinks super easy. Citrus fruit, paired with a paper like grain. Not bad in any way. Another solid offering from these guys.

16 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with piney hops, stone fruits galore and biscuity malt. Flavour is just lovely, loaded with piney hops, some stone fruitiness, light pith and biscuity malt. Some sticky resins with a touch of sweetness on the finish. Immensely drinkable and wonderfully constructed. Excellent.

Taster at Loyal Legion. Clear golden body, small foamy head. Light grainy aroma. Taste is more of the grains, bread. Small hoppy bite puts in squarely in pils territory.
