473mL can, pours a murky, hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma has gentle orange peel, some stone fruits, and gentle citrus hops. Flavour has notes of melon, some citrus hops, strange floral perfumey notes from the weird yeast, and a touch of orange peel. Nah, this just doesn't work. Not a fan.

750mL bottle. Pours deep dark brown. Aroma has notes of espresso, chocolate, bourbon, and sour bread. Flavour also has sour bread malts, bourbon, and dark chocolate with notes of vanilla and dark cherries. Thinning sour finish and a subtle boozy warmth. Very enjoyable.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 2024-02-08). Hazy dull blonde gold with small white head. Mild citrus hops, hint of zest, a bit muted overall. My least favourite of the New Slang series.

Opaque, thin head, thin body, light fruity notes. Comes across weak. Weak Burnaby slang.

On tap at Dageraad. Pours dark brown with small white head. Aroma has a ton of bourbon with a touch of brown sugar. Flavour is also very bourbon forward, but not overpowering. Notes of dark sugar, caramel. Really nice.

473 ml can. Pours a dark brown with moderate head that settles quickly. Aromas of stewed cherries, copper, a little Belgian yeast and bready malts. Flavors follow same with additional chocolate. Not really much cherry; mostly yeast character.

Pour at Dark Fields of Winter. Pours deep copper with foamy white head. Aroma of yeast, caramel and bitter malts. Flavour is candied sugar, yeast, and malts. Could do with more carbonation. Enjoyable to drink, but falls a bit short as a quad.

Purplish colour. Lots of berry on the nose and it smells like it'll be acidic. Lots of berry. Light preserved lemon. This is trying in vain to cover up an unreasonable amount of pedio. Medium body, quick and gently acidic finish.

On tap at brewery. Pours amger with large foamy white head. Aroma has yeast, malts, and a bit of spice. Flavour is yeast, malts, dried fruit, and candied sugar with strong herbal notes. Mouthfeel light on carbonation. Not outstanding, but still very enjoyable.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver; screw me, this was canned 2023-09-27, 4 months old
Cloudy blond colour. The aroma is still fruity, light dankness, garlic, manure. Dry mouthfeel, mild wheat (or white bread) flavour, bold bitterness with bitter citrus peel, but no other bright elements from the hops.
Pleasant, it will go fine with dinner.
